Recycled polyester yarn from post-consumer wastes of PET bottles in Jeju, Seoul, and Busan
Regen from each region is focused on localization to reduce carbon emissions. Approximately 143 PET bottles gather to generate one cone of yarn. It functions to save oil resource, reduce industrial wastewater and CO2 emission. It is used in various fields such as sportswear, outdoor, bag, and innerwear.
Creora

Recycled spandex, with PLEATSMAMA’s first success for commercialization
It is an eco-friendly material that can be set at a lower temperature than the existing spandex, has a faster setting speed, and has a simpler process. All such factors ultimately save carbon emissions and energy. It has strong tension and high elasticity, featured by less sagging and high resilience when an object is put in and removed.

Recycled Garment

Yarn made of chips from abandoned clothes and fabric
Discarded garment is cleansed and melted to make chips, which turn out to be yarn that can make new products again. With our first attempt to turn recycled garment into a new bag successful, PLEATSMAMA is underway experimenting with garment of composite material.

Fabric made of wasted PET bottles from ships departing from Yeosu Port –attempted for the first time in Korea!
OBP project involves OBP certification system, which functions to redefine top-grade marine plastic waste. Such redefinition adds new usage to the neglected waste.

-OBP certification is an international certification developed by Control Union and ZERO PLASTIC OCEANS. This sustainable international certification system encourages corporations or brands to solve sea plastic waste problem.
