This February, PLEATSMAMA participated in the Milan Loves Seoul exhibition to spread our sustainable beauty in Milan. Supported by 𝟏𝟎 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒐 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒐, we continue to embody PLEATSMAMA's values and beauty.

Yes to Yeosu
Hwang So-Yoon, the leader of the band Se So Neon, narrated the campaign video.
PLEATSMAMA unveils the 'Clean Yeosu Edition,' made from Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP) generated from ships departing from Yeosu Port. This edition is the result of a marine plastic resource circulation project initiated by PLEATSMAMA in April, through MOU with Hyosung TNC and the Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority. ‘OBP’ collected from Yeosu Gwangyang Port is turned into 'Regen Ocean’, recycled yarn by Hyosung TNC, which PLEATSMAMA utilizes to create fashion items. To create the 'Clean Yeosu Edition,’ we provided bags to separately collect PET bottles used on departing ships and adopted a method of collecting plastic waste from returning ships.

The 'Clean Yeosu Edition,’ created from recycling OBP, presents four distinct fashion items: a mini briefcase, ball bag, shoulder bag, and tote bag. Two innovative designs, the mini briefcase and ball bag, make their debut in this collection, offering a fresh aesthetic previously unseen. The mini briefcase exudes luxury by adorning the sides with the brand's signature pleats, deviating from conventional designs that typically feature pleats on the front, while the ball bag showcases PLEATSMAMA's distinctive flair by reimagining the water drop shape. Additionally, the waves of the winter sea are expressed as gradients to capture the serene hues of Yeosu’s water on best-selling items, shoulder bag and tote bag.
In our 'Clean Yeosu' campaign video, Hwang So-yoon, leader of the renowned band ‘Sae So Neon’, lends her voice to narrate a poignant tale of the sea, shedding light on its untold story. Her emotive narration serves as a powerful reminder of the stark reality of marine debris and underscores the imperative of ecosystem preservation.

Individuals who embrace their own unique lifestyles and values hold significant importance, each embodying a distinct meaning. PLEATSMAMA, a brand that authentically embodies the values of persistence and sincerity in sustainability. Bringing together people with conscious lifestyle and brand that do the same, we embark on a journey filled with genuine stories.

PLEATSMAMA began the ‘Conscious Lifestyle' campaign, featuring four distinct personas, to redefine what it means to lead a sustainable lifestyle. This campaign, introduced for the first time in 2023, encapsulates the ambiguous meaning of 'BUY,' signifying conscious consumption, and 'Live,' representing living life. It stands as a testament to our unwavering support for people with conscious lifestyle.

Within the ‘Conscious Lifestyle' campaign, we spotlight four unique personas: illustrator Jeong-eun Yoo, backpacker Woo-chang Kwon, PLEATSMAMA CEO Jong-mi Wang, and DIPHDA Jeju CEO Soo-bin Byun. Through brand stories and interview videos showcasing their lifestyle, we aim to present diverse perspectives on sustainable living.

Finding creative ways to repurpose out-of-season clothing instead of discarding them, , a hobby of minimizing waste while enjoying natural surroundings, embracing an ethos of environmental stewardship as integral members of sustainable fashion brands, and maintaining mindfulness while engaging in activities that contribute positively to the Earth.

While the methods may vary according to each individual’s ‘Conscious Lifestyle’, they all share one thing in common: a commitment to meaningful living and preserving our planet for future generations.
