PLEATSMAMA has deep connection with Jeju island. PLEATSMAMA is the brand whose cooperation with Hyosung TNC succeeded turning ‘JEJU’ PET into recycled polyester for the first time. Thus, there is no wonder that PLEATSMAMA joined hands with Blue Bottle Coffee Korea when it launched its new café in Jeju island. Wasted Jeju PET bottles were collected once again, manufactured as polyester yarn, and turned into Blue Bottle t-shirt and barista aprons. Despite worries, PLEATSMAMA nailed its new attempts on new items. Throughout the collaboration, PLEATSMAMAMA crew took special care to turn twelve and seventeen plastic bottles each into an apron and t-shirt. In the end, PLEATSMAMA completed entire regional circulation –gifting all Jeju back to there.
