(11 April 2022, Seoul) Me-cycle brand PLEATSMAMA™, promoting conscious consumerism on Earth Day, introduced a Nanobag produced in collaboration with Naturalistic Cosmetics Inisfree. This collaboration combines two brands which put sustainability at the core of their values.
The Nano bag, introduced by PleatsMama in collaboration with Innisfree, forms part of Innisfree's Happy Earth Day campaign, marking Earth Day on 22 April, and was developed under the slogan "Pet Bottles and Empty Bottles, become a Bag.” Since last year, Innisfree has collected 0.1t of transparent empty bottles, consisting of waste plastic from Jeju Island as well as through a consumer empty bottle collection campaign. Pleats Mama has been recycling the waste plastic, using it at raw materials for Nanobags.
The ‘Pleatsmama x Innisfree Nanobag’ is based on Pleatsmama’s best-selling Nano bag design but without the bag cover, giving it a more neat appearance. Using colors and tones from nature, deep green and Ivory, promoting healthy beauty and being nature-friendly is part of Innisfree's identity.
Also, the goal is for the appearance of the product design to provide the consumer with a naturalistic experience. In accordance with Pleatsmama’s production process, the leftover cloth was not wasted. In addittion, we minimize the use of package ink and cushioning from the packaging process and produce less litter.
